Economic burden of illness and financial impact analyses
Cost effectiveness analysis evaluates the costs and consequences of health interventions by employing decision analytic models to synthesize data derived from clinical trials, stand-alone studies, retrospective administrative database analyses, and systematic review of published literature. Cost effectiveness analysis is increasingly central to reimbursement decision-making, whether formally by national and regional reimbursement authorities, or informally by decision-makers in private healthcare agencies.

Our team has experience in designing and conducting prevalence-based and incidence-based economic burden of illness studies, and utilizes its scientific strengths alongside commercial and regulatory knowledge to achieve consistently accurate results. Over the years the Oxford Outcomes team has built deep understanding of these analyses allowing us to prepare comprehensive economic evaluation dossiers that integrate economic burden of illness studies with cost-effectiveness analysis and financial impact analysis, to give our clients a complete picture of the economic issues associated with introducing a new product to the market. These dossiers can either be developed to update a pricing strategy, or to form part of a submission to funding agencies.
