Development of conceptual models
Oxford Outcomes is a well-established market leader in the development of conceptual models. We have developed disease-specific, symptom-specific, and treatment-specific models which are compliant with FDA guidelines. We also provide training and workshops in conceptual modelling.
Conceptual models are used in PRO research to provide a visual representation of the relationships between symptoms of a disease or condition, and the experiences of a patient. Alternatively a conceptual model can be focused on a single symptom, a treatment, or a side-effect of a treatment. In addition conceptual models can be expanded out as a basis for conceptualising economic models. Within PRO research they are very useful research tools which can be used as a basis for decision making, to assist in PRO development with respect to item generation and conceptual frameworks and to assist in endpoint model development.
